Yes, it's Diego...but there's much better software out there! December 19, 2008 A. Milne (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this software for my two Diego obsessed little boys, (ages 4 and 2), with high hopes. However, we all ended up extremely disappointed as it really was not exciting, stimulating or challenging in any way. Many of the "games" centre around a mummy animal of one sort or another that has lost it's babies. The babies are simply covered up by leaves, (there are maybe 6 babies and 10 bunches of leaves). You have to click on the leaves to get them to move out of the way and then, if there's one of the animals there, you pick it up and move it to it's mum. The boys thought that was quite cool the first 2 or 3 times they did it...but after the millionth time we all thought it was about as exciting as watching paint dry! There are a couple of other games in there where you have to jump over rolling logs for example, but they aren't exactly amazing and it's REALLY hard to get to them because the software seems to get itself in a loop very frequently and you end up right back at the start having to do all the "find the babies" activities again. Argh!!!!! My 2 year old, (who is pretty good with the mouse), found this game very easy - boring in fact after a very short while, so I definitely would not recommend this for any kids much older than 2 or 3. It's such a shame because they kept asking for it because it's Diego...and then when I put it on they would just get bored and frustrated. Needless to say it has now "disappeared"!
