Customer Reviews: Why do children like this???? February 18, 2010 NewbieBuyer (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I dont get it.
The human characters are not rounded in any way
The backpack and maps are animated characters - wheras it might have been more useful to show how best a child can use them
The spanish is indistinct. If they displayed the word, adults could maybe pick it up and support the learning
However -
My 2 yr old daughter loves it. And now wants to be an ARCHEOLOGIST (like Dora's mum in the ok bonus episode)
Hate the soccer story, but am hoping daughter will enjoy the main reason for the purchase - the baby story.. I am holding off showing it till baby arrives next month. I didnt think it would be useful to watch till after the baby arrives as it is basically a long sequence of " We're having a baby - where's the baby" repeated ad infinitum. There's a few little things on lullabies and babies needing to settle - nothing on breastfeeding
When the time comes, it will keep my toddler quiet for half an hour as I try to breastfeed/change/put newbie down. Whilst there might be other superior options for distraction - this does have the benefit have some relevance to her current experiences (she loves being a big sister already). But there *should* be something of better quality out there. There really should
