Don't ask me why but he is her favorite character on Dora! I have the plastic figures from Dora (very nice set btw!) and she HAD to sleep with the swiper figure every night. She actually calls him Fa (as in fox)...Anyway, as you all can imagine, sleeping with a HARD SMALL figure in a bed caused several problems, mostly the thing getting lost in the covers, resulting in screams of FA! FA! in the middle of the night! As Dora would say - That darn fox!
Although other words come to mind besides "darn" at 3 a.m...
SO, I saw this and bought it, HOPING I could do a kinda cross over from plastic figure to Stuffed toy....and it worked!!! The Ty Swiper is not a large animal, perfect for carting around everywhere we go....The tail gives the impression that it would be quite easy to fall off (attached by not alot of fabric) BUT we have had no problems (yet)....Doesn't look hard to sew or fix even if it did...
So yeah, for me, the 17 euros it cost me to get it from the UK (I live in Spain) was more then worth it! If your lil one is a Swiper fan, he/she will love it!

We bought this for our two year old daughter for her birthday. She is Dora the Explorer mad and her favorite just happens to be Swiper the fox. He is quite durable so far but then she hasn't really been all that rough with him. He has brought her hours of fun. Cheapest item bought for her birthday and what a bargain.

Judging from the picture, I was expecting a somewhat larger toy. Nevertheless, my daughters are obsessed with anything even remotely related to Dora, so they're having good fun with it.

My son thinks Swiper is the greatest, so I bought this for him. It has held up pretty well, except for an issue with the tail. My son does not mistreat his toys, and the tail came loose at the base seam, after only having it a few days. It was easy enough to repair without my stitches showing, so it's not a big deal. however, I can't give five stars to something that has a problem within the first week.
I still recommend this toy because we haven't had any more problems with it, and we've had it almost a year now. We also have TY Boots the Monkey Beanie Baby, so he has adventures with Swiper.
